and still it goes. . .

wow. perhaps this conspiracy thing is more fact than fiction. gets scary when it is predictable. . . but not as scary when it isn't believable. this series has been anything but believable. we aren't talking about 2 equal teams, but we are meant to believe that they are. amazing, but not believable. for the sake of my team, i hope they haven't played around too long to remember how to actually play the game. unless, as some would suggest, the whole season was rigged as well. i can't go that far at this point.

the new kid has me wrapped around her little finger. she knows the right way to smile at me, she knows the right timing, she is a pro at getter her way with me. . .most of the time. i'm just glad her brother is around to balance things out. though he has his way of getting on my good side, he isn't as manipulative and doesn't have the control that she does. recently he has me laughing a lot, especially when he makes a statement then immediately tells me, "say, 'you're right'." and repeats that until i say it.

sad news is that the dr. wants us to keep him away from dairy products for a month and the wife has imposed it on the rest of the family . . . for the most part (check out the wife's blog for the whole scoop). since dairy is perhaps my favorite category in the pyramid, this has been traumatic. the warrior child has endured this for 2 days now. . .i hope he can hold up. it will be tough not to give in.

i was transferring some documents today and noticed a document from my pocket pc titled "things to blog" that i had forgotten to mention here. perhaps the only thing worth mentioning from the file is a moment from a singspiration where the teacher asked what he had taught that morning in sunday school. one of the kids shouted out the book and another kid (i think it was bkirkland. . .whose picture i still need to get) resounded the reference. the teacher, in disbelief, responded 'wow, bill, i'm impressed". to which bill replied, "yeah, i remember it because i couldn't find it this morning."

pics of the new office machines (click for larger picture).

this is doc. . .well, actually these are the 2 monitors attached to doc. i forgot to take a pic of the actual box. it isn't all that exciting to look at.

this is a comparison between my new laptop and the old one. the new one is poc, the ibm t43 on the left (the smaller, pit-bull). the old one is ponytail, the dell latitude on the right (larger, great dane/husky mix).
speaking of dogs, the millner's puppy came to the office today. made for a little excitement.

this is where poc normally sits. . .next to billybob the emac that resides on my desk, but which i try not to use any more than necessary. at one point, i really thought i could be one with the mac. . .but then i realized i would be cutting myself off from 80% of the software in this world that allows me to be productive and happy. so billybob gets used for testing, manipulation of quark files, and anchoring down my desk.

more later. . .

peace and java
