i just got back from the annual men's retreat with my church brethren. it was a great weekend. gordon dickson was the speaker and was greatly used to give practical applications of God's word. after hearing much about him from friends in the g'ville area, i was happy to finally meet him and talk with him. the services were excellent and obviously what we all needed.
i'm doing my best not to stay calm about the whole foosball tournament. my partner and i lost in the first round. . .but that isn't what bothered me. we lost because we were on the bad side of the table. 5 shots hit the back of the goal and popped back out + my front line wasn't tight enough to get a descent shot (not to mention the feet were worn on the edges, so i couldn't spin the ball very well). let you think this is all just my opinion, we replayed the team that beat us and switched sides and toasted them royally. yes, i know it sounds like i am bitter, but that is just the residue of my crushed spirit. volleyball tourney was fun (even though the ball was a rock) and the better team definitely won. making it to the final round was fun in itself and if we had won, it would've been a fluke.
though many didn't think it would happen, the dodgers clinched a spot in the playoffs today. so exciting that it takes 2 lines in my blog.
osu continues to be #1 in the nation. tonight's game was a lot of fun to watch. no more difficult teams until november 18th. kinda makes me nervous. anything can happen in the big ten (for example: who would've thought illinois would knock off michigan state?) . . .especially when a good team gets cocky.
here are some videos i shot a while ago and kept forgetting to post. the kids are practicing their answers to the question: how old are you? enjoy.
