i'll not take the time to share my frustrations with the tech support at the blue man store (aka best buy), but i will share a pic of my children sporting their own version of the geek squad look.

we returned from ohio saturday night. heat has been oppressive as of late. a guy walking past me this morning made a statement about it being hot and then said, "sure beats snow, doesn't it?" my reply: "not today". he walked away saying he needed to just shut up. wow.
my missing ring has been found. the warrior child lost my college ring the last time we were at my mom's house and we spent a few hours looking for it that day. . .followed up by continuous looking by my mom (including going through trash and boxes) after we left. i found it when i carried a chair from the kitchen out to the living room. apparently he had placed it on a notch used to raise and lower the chair (this is my best guess after examining the chair). nice to have it back. he won't be allowed to play with my rings for a very long time. . .and good thing he isn't going with me to denver since one of my responsibilities is to hold on to the wedding rings for melvin and charis (i started to refer to him as the chief, but wasn't sure how to identify charis. send suggestions to
dave@daveandnic.com . . . maybe someday it will become a poll.).
have i mentioned that my wife makes awesome iced coffees?
nfl fantasy football starts up soon. draft is over. i got stuck with t.owens. how lucky i am. i get a superstar that is injured and begging for more money.
redesign is coming. perhaps i will work on it during flights to and from denver. target date: august 1, 2005.
more later. . .
peace and java
