silly dalton

praise: landon is still not showing any signs of a cold.

prayer: dalton is not feeling well. let the colds begin.

playfulness: dalton has done several funny things recently. he is starting to act a little twoish. most of the pictures tell the story, but i'll try to explain some.

spaghetti is only good if it gets all over your face!

i have a rolling cart next to dalton's crib on which i put too small clothes before i find a place in storage for them. apparently, dalton felt the need to put on a pair of auburn's too small undies!

dalton loves to look out auburn's window at ms. donna's oof oof! (woof woof)

dave had his computer mostly closed on the piano bench. when he went back into the living room. this is what he found.

don't know why he did this, but he kept sticking his finger in the middle of his hot dog slices.

pretending to be a doggie.

i left the chocolate chip bag on the kitchen table. even though it was clipped shut-he was still determined to devour them. he was shoveling them in his mouth as fast as he could.

i suppose this was fun. he did it about 7 times.

all tired out after a busy day.

this is another trick that he has tried several times (from various places in the house).

apple orchard-in the rain!

praise: landon does not seem like he is going to come down with anything after being in the rain yesterday morning.

prayer: i have a cardiologist appt. tomorrow morning. pray for wisdom. also, my friend, nicole, broke her pelvis on sunday while delivering her third child. baby is healthy.

playfulness: yesterday morning, landon's class went to the erie apple orchard and cider mill. as soon as we arrived at the fields to pick the apples-it started raining. have you ever seen 40+ people (24 being 5) pick 3 apples each in under 5 minutes?!? it was quite amazing.  =) here are some pictures.

doesn't landon look thrilled to be on his first field trip?-in a big bus for the first time?!? he was upset because i wouldn't let him sit by gracie on the way up.

checking out the animals.

attempting to line up to listen to farmer bill.

finally successful!

the beginning of our hayride.

right before we arrived at the apple trees.

picking (quickly) in the rain.

finally, a happy boy.

he asked very nicely if he could go show gracie his apples.

happy boy. this is after we arrived in the barn.

we waited for a few moments in the barn, but since the rain wasn't letting up-we went to another building. farmer bill showed the kids how the apples are separated based on size. he then took us all into the big refrigerator. you can imagine all of the cold, wet parents being thrilled about that! surprisingly, the temperature inside wasn't much different than the temperature outside! we then left for a third building and saw the machines that make the cider. after that, we we sent to the bakery to have our treat.

since landon had obeyed, and left poor gracie alone for the morning, i let him sit with her to have his cider and donuts. she loves to hear his stories that he tells. i guess she comes up to him at recess and says "storytime, landon!" no wonder he likes to be around her!

after the yummy food, we ate lunch (since there was nothing else to do) and then left for the school. even in spite of the rain, we had a good time.
